We'd tell you to read this page on any site before paying. So here's ours.

In short

Just Naughty Singles is free to join, build a profile and browse. Reading and replying to messages needs a paid membership, which renews automatically until you cancel in Settings > Billing. Optional extras cost more on top. Refunds are pro-rata and only when at least 40% of the period is unused. The checkout shows the billing name used on statements.

What you can do without paying

Signing up, building a profile and looking around are free, with no card needed.

  • Create an account and a profile, with photos
  • Browse other members' profiles
  • Receive interest from other members

You can find out whether there's anyone you'd want to talk to before you spend anything, which is how it should work on every site. Free members see adverts.

What a membership buys

A membership is what lets you read and reply to messages. That's the line: if you want a conversation, you need one.

What it costs
Join, create a profile, browseFree
Read and reply to messagesPaid membership (weekly and monthly plans)
Optional extrasSuch as profile boosts and an ID-verified badge

The members area shows the exact price of each plan before you pay. Memberships renew automatically until you cancel in Settings > Billing. Check the price and billing details at checkout before you pay.

Members also get read receipts, can see who viewed them and can view photos in full. The members area shows the exact price, currency and length of each plan before you confirm. If what you see there doesn't match what you expected, don't pay; ask the members help centre first. If you're charged in a currency other than your own, your bank may add a foreign transaction fee.

The optional extras

Extras are sold separately from a membership, and none of them is needed to message anyone.

  • Profile boosts
  • Priority messages
  • An ID-verified badge, after an ID and selfie check run by LEM Verify
  • A 24-hour pass
  • Reveal likes, to see who has shown interest in you

Check the price of each in the members area before you buy. They're the sort of add-on we flag on every site we check, so we flag them here too: decide what you want before you start, because small extras add up quickly.

Renewal: the part to put in your calendar

Every membership renews automatically at the end of its period until you switch renewal off. If you take a trial, it rolls into a full membership unless you cancel before the trial ends.

To stop renewal:

  1. Log in at the members area.
  2. Go to Settings > Billing.
  3. Cancel, and keep the confirmation.

Do it at least a day before the renewal date. Cancelling stops future charges; it doesn't by itself refund the current period.

Refunds: the 40% rule

The member terms allow a pro-rata refund only when at least 40% of the paid period is still unused. "Pro-rata" means you'd get back the share of the price that matches the unused time.

Example: on a 30-day membership, 40% is 12 days. Ask with 12 or more days left and the rule can apply; with fewer, cancelling stops the next charge but nothing comes back.

In plain terms: if you change your mind early, ask quickly. The member terms are the binding version, and our guide to cancelling and refunds explains how to ask.

What appears on your statement

Your bank or card statement may not say Just Naughty Singles. The checkout shows the billing name before you pay, so write it down. A name you don't recognise is the classic reason people dispute a charge they did agree to.

Before you pay anywhere

Run the same four checks on any casual site, this one included:

  • Find the price, the plan length and the renewal rule before you enter a card.
  • Find out what the free account can't do.
  • Note the billing name at checkout.
  • Find the cancel button before you need it.

Our billing traps guide covers trials, unfamiliar statement names and pay-per-message models on other sites, and the ten-minute site check covers the rest. For the basics, see how it works and key facts.

Questions people ask

Will I be charged again automatically?

Yes, unless you cancel. Every membership renews at the end of its period until you switch renewal off in Settings > Billing, and a trial rolls into a full membership unless you cancel before it ends. Cancel at least a day before the renewal date so there's no argument about timing.

Can I get a refund?

Only in limited cases. The member terms allow a pro-rata refund when at least 40% of the paid period is unused. If you've used more than that, cancelling stops the next charge but doesn't return money for the time already gone. Ask through the members help centre, and give the date and amount of the charge.

Will the charge say Just Naughty Singles?

Not necessarily. The checkout shows the billing name that will appear on your bank or card statement, so note it before you pay. A name you don't recognise is the most common reason people dispute a charge they did agree to, and it matters if you share an account.

Is there a free trial of messaging?

No. Reading and replying to messages is paid from the start. Where a trial is offered, it is a paid trial that rolls into a full membership unless you cancel before it ends, so treat it as the first step of a subscription, not a one-off.

Do I need any of the extras?

No. Boosts, priority messages, the ID badge, the 24-hour pass and reveal likes are all optional. A membership on its own lets you read and reply to messages. Decide before you start what, if anything, you want, because small add-ons add up.
